Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This policy explains how Get 200 (“Get 200”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects the personal data you share with us through www.get200.africa, WhatsApp, email or phone, and how we contact you. We handle personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
1. Who we are
Get 200 is a software and business systems company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at support@get200.africa or on WhatsApp at +254 732 414 290.
2. What we collect
When you send an enquiry or book a call, we collect:
- your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number;
- your company name, if you provide it;
- the service you are interested in and the project details you write;
- your preferred call date, time and contact method;
- the date and time you agreed to be contacted.
We also keep messages, emails and call notes from our conversations with you. Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to run and secure the website.
2a. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the website and which of our Google Ads lead to enquiries. It uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (city or country), and whether you sent an enquiry or clicked a WhatsApp link. We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Google Analytics, and we do not use it to show you personalised ads.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, these cookies are switched off by default. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Your browser may also store a small setting so that our “Still exploring?” prompt is not shown to you again during the same visit.
3. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and hold the call you requested;
- to understand your needs and prepare a proposal or quote;
- to follow up on your enquiry if we cannot reach you the first time;
- to deliver our services if you become a client, and to invoice and keep business records;
- to protect our website and services from spam, fraud and misuse;
- to measure how our website and advertising perform, so we can improve them;
- to meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
4. How we contact you
When you submit our form and tick the consent box, or message us directly, you agree that Get 200 may contact you about your enquiry using the details you provided, by:
- phone call or SMS;
- WhatsApp message or call;
- email;
- video call, where you asked for one.
This includes confirming or rescheduling your call, sending a proposal, and a reasonable number of follow-ups about the same enquiry. We may contact you from our company numbers or from the work number of a Get 200 team member. Calls may take place at, or close to, the time you requested.
We will not send you newsletters or unrelated marketing unless you separately agree to receive them.
You can ask us to stop at any time. Reply “STOP” to any of our messages, tell us during a call, or email support@get200.africa. We will stop contacting you about the enquiry, except where we need to complete something you have already asked for or are required to by law.
Please give us details that belong to you or that you are authorised to share. If you give us someone else’s details, you confirm that they have agreed to be contacted by us.
5. Our legal basis
- Consent: you agree to be contacted when you submit our form or message us.
- Steps before a contract: we use your details to scope and quote the work you asked about.
- Contract: we use client data to deliver the services we agreed to provide.
- Legitimate interests: keeping business records, protecting our website from misuse, and measuring how our website and ads perform.
- Legal obligation: keeping financial and tax records where the law requires it.
6. Who we share it with
We only share personal data with providers who help us run our business, and only as far as needed:
- Zoho, which provides our email and business applications;
- Vercel, which hosts our website;
- Google, which provides Google Analytics and Google Ads, as described in section 2a;
- Meta (WhatsApp), when you message or call us on WhatsApp;
- Google or Zoom, when we hold a video call with you;
- our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality;
- government or law enforcement authorities, where the law requires us to.
7. Transfers outside Kenya
Some of our providers store data on servers outside Kenya. We use established providers that protect personal data with appropriate safeguards, as required by the Data Protection Act, 2019.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
- Client and project records: for as long as we work together and afterwards for as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes.
- If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep a short record of that request so we do not contact you again by mistake.
9. How we protect it
We use secure, access-controlled business systems, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to the people who need it to handle your enquiry or project. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a problem occurs.
10. Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:
- be told how your personal data is used;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent;
- receive your data in a portable format, where this applies.
To use any of these rights, email support@get200.africa. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner at www.odpc.go.ke.
11. Children
Our services are for businesses and organisations. Our website is not intended for anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. Please also read our Terms of Use.
